Alaskan Expedition - Part 1

It's been an amazing couple of weeks. On the move non-stop but seeing more of Alaska than I could have ever imagined. Feeling very very lucky.

We started in the North and for the next 7 weeks will be working our way south. Stop one was Gates of the Arctic National Park up in the arctic circle.

The second stop was the small village of Rampart. From Rampart we spent 4 days floating the Yukon River. Spotted tons of Grizzly bear, Black bear and moose along the way.

Fall has begun. Soon the river will freeze and this will all be white.

We ended our float in Tanana and are now on the third stop of the ten, on a small island of Nunivak in the Bering Sea. Nunivak has a population of about 150 and most of them are Cup'it (coopit) Eskimo. The people here are super friendly and we have made a bunch of friends.

I went 7 days without a shower. It was epic.
